Robin Charrot
Robin joined our Cheshire office in May 2008. He graduated in Law from Nottingham Trent University in 1994, trained in Stratford-on-Avon, and has specialized in family law ever since qualifying as a solicitor in 1997. He worked in Leicester for three years, for a leading family law firm in Manchester for four years, and then spent a further four years at Carey Olsen in Jersey, leading their family law department.
Robin deals with all areas of family work, with a particular emphasis on resolving financial issues between high net worth individuals, either at the beginning of a relationship (pre-nuptial and pre-cohabitation contracts) or at the end (separation and divorce). He is a qualified Collaborative Lawyer.
During his time in Jersey, Robin gained extensive experience of advising on Jersey family law and trusts law, and he continues to advise on Jersey family law issues through an arrangement between Stowe Family Law LLP and Carey Olsen.
Robin is a fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. This is a worldwide association of practicing lawyers who are recognized by their peers as the most expert and experienced family lawyers of their respective countries. Membership is by invitation only. Robin is the first fellow to be elected from the Channel Islands. He is also a member of Resolution, the Jersey Family Law Association, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the Greater Manchester Collaborative Family Law Group.
