Nick White heads Stowe Family Law’s in-house forensic accountancy department. He is a chartered accountant of 24 years’ standing.
Before founding Stowe Family Law’s in-house forensic accountancy department, Nick White had specialised in forensic accounting matters for 15 years, as a partner in national and local firms of chartered accountants. His experience covered all manner of cases, from small personal injury cases to commercial claims and multi-million pound international frauds. During this time he also gained significant experience dealing with matrimonial ancillary relief matters, including business and shareholder valuations.
Nick White’s role in Stowe Family Law encompasses many aspects of a client’s affairs. He can assist a client with his or her own financial disclosures and investigate the accuracy, veracity and completeness of the financial disclosure provided by the client’s spouse or civil partner, particularly when there are business or off-shore interests. Nick White also provides valued assistance in assessing and considering the tax issues surrounding settlement.
We frequently find that our clients’ partners stated income is far less than it really is, or could be. Nick White can take stock of the various ways in which clients and their partners choose to take income from companies and the related tax regimes.
In matters where there are significant financial issues, Nick White will be involved throughout the conduct of the case and will frequently attend in conferences with Counsel as well as assist with the negotiations between the parties and at Court.
