Actress Tamzin Outhwaite has filed for divorce from husband Tom Ellis.
The couple, who were married in 2006 and have two daughters, announced their separation at the end of last month, telling the Mail:
“Tamzin Outhwaite and Tom Ellis are sad to confirm they have separated. They continue to support each other as parents and will remain friends. They ask for sensitivity at this difficult time.”
According to reports, Ellis has moved out of the couple’s north London home and the half-Italian performer has now moved to formally end their marriage.
Her estranged husband is reported to have initiated the split. The Mail quotes an unnamed source:
“She’s putting on a brave face but inside she feels humiliated and is being supported by a group of girlfriends including her best friend Nicole.”
Nicole Appleton is married to Liam Gallagher, former lead singer of Oasis.
Tamzin Outhwaite is best known for her four year role in BBC soap opera EastEnders. She has since appeared in feature films and stage productions, an episode of Doctor Who, and as a judge in talent shows Don’t Stop Believing and Over The Rainbow.
