Child Maintenance Toolkit launched by government

Children|May 7th 2014

A ‘Child Maintenance Toolkit’ has been launched by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

A set of online resources, the toolkit provides client-facing organisations with a range of information about the topic, including recent changes to legislation, fees and charges payable, and the winding down of the Child Support Agency (CSA).

The kit was launched following requests from organisations working directly with clients claiming child maintenance, who wanted accurate information to made available online.

The DWP said:

“We know that many of our clients turn to organisations like you for help and support, and you have a vital role to play in helping separated families through these changes.”

The information includes downloadable factsheets and leaflets, as well as “information about the wider issues affecting separated parents such as mediation, legal rights, housing and dealing with debt.”

How do they have the audacity to call themselves the CHILD SUPPORT AGENCY when my granddaughters have been brought up by my daughter whilst their ‘FATHER’ has NOT payed his maintenance to the tune of owing OVER £30,000? Obviously NO pride in their work!
