Stowe Family Law announces nationwide promotions – Mar 2023

The UK’s largest specialist family law firm, Stowe Family Law, today announced promotions for 13 family lawyers from across the firm.

While recognising the individual achievements and outstanding contributions of our lawyers, these promotions are the culmination of Stowe’s dedication to actively developing the high calibre lawyers within the firm, and further demonstrating its commitment to growth.

With 69 offices across the UK, promotions span Stowe’s geography including Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, and London.

This round of promotions follows the introduction in 2021 of the firm’s Elevate initiative which provides a structured pathway alongside mentoring and support opportunities for lawyers looking to advance their career.

Among those announced are Sara Morton and Gemma Thew, who are both promoted to the role of Team Leader Partner, and Charlotte Newman and Sam Farndale who have becomes Partners.

Hannah Stubbs has been promoted to the role of Senior Associate, while Chelcie Evans, David Allen, Emel Hamit, Emily Beven, Jake Mitchell, Joanna Dale, Megan Brookfield and Tamara Adams have each become Associates, a new role introduced by the firm in 2022.

Speaking of the promotions, Senior Partner Julian Hawkhead said:

“I’m delighted to announce these well-deserved promotions. Congratulations to each of the lawyers. They all share Stowe’s core values; demonstrating exceptional commitment to delivering high-quality advice and support to our clients, innovative thinking, and a readiness to collaborate with Stowe’s team of over 130 like-minded family law specialists.”

Julian continues:

“The expertise and achievements of this talented and ambitious group of family lawyers reflect Stowe’s dedication to attracting and supporting outstanding lawyers. I am certain they will continue to flourish and wish them every success as they continue to progress their career with Stowe Family Law.”
