The former wife of actor Kelsey Grammer has accused the 57 year-old of “prolonging” their divorce proceedings.
During an episode of US talk show Anderson Live earlier this week, Camille Grammer claimed some details of the divorce arrangements are still to be finalized, although the divorce itself was completed in February last year.
“For the most part, I thought they [divorce arrangements] were done because we came to agreement basically on everything and then I kept getting emails every other week from his lawyers that he wanted to keep changing things. On my end, I said, ‘OK, I agree to all of this,’ but he keeps making changes. So I feel that, at this point, he is prolonging the process.”
Grammer, best known for his role as Frasier Crane in highly successful sitcoms Cheers and Frasier, married Camille Donatacci, his third wife, in 1997. They have two children together but in July 2010, Camille filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
Grammer reportedly refuses to talk directly to Camille. She said: “It’s very difficult to co-parent with someone who won’t speak to you, text you or email you. He doesn’t speak to me at all. So it’s very, very difficult because I’ve reached out to him. I think it’s very important to be amicable to raise children and he refuses to. There’s just so much I can do at this point.”
In September, Grammer is reported to have pulled out of a TV interview with Piers Morgan at the last minute after seeing a photograph of Camille in the show’s opening sequence. The previous months he referred to Camille as “that woman” during a interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The actor now married fourth wife Kayte Walsh, a British flight attendant who is more than two decades younger than him.
Grammer’s early life was marred by tragedies. Both his estranged father and younger sister were murdered.
