The new office is led by Partner Chris Birch . He is a family solicitor and trained barrister who specialises in divorce matters including financial relief, specifically with regard to complex business structures and cases involving agricultural matters and inherited wealth. He is also particularly experienced in cohabitee disputes and financial arrangements for divorcing NHS professionals and military service personnel.
Chris has previously worked in the firm’s head office in Harrogate before he opened our Ilkley office in June 2015, which has grown from strength to strength under his leadership.
Supporting Chris is Claire Ward. Claire has expertise in advising clients in relation to financial issues, pre- and postnuptial agreements, cohabitation and separation agreements and provides advice and assistance through the mediation process. Claire regularly advises clients in relation to property disputes and the claims of unmarried couples. Claire has considerable experience of civil proceedings arising from property claims having conducted several cases to trial.

How to find us
Our office is on the first floor of 22 Trinity Lane, a small street just two minutes away from the railway station where pay and display parking is available (see detailed directions below).
By train: On exiting the station, walk left then on reaching the bicycle shelter facility turn right and on exiting the car park cross the road in front of you. Walk past the old clock, to the far corner of the square then keep straight on down the residential street in ahead. Number 22 is the first door on your left.
Beverley train station offers connections including the following:
Hull – every 20 minutes (15 minute journey)
Driffield – every 30 minutes (15 minute journey)
Cottingham – every 20 minutes (6 minute journey)

By car: From York (60 minutes) and Pocklington (30 minutes), the most direct route is the A1079. From Hull (30 minutes) you can take the 1079 or A1165. From further North there are several routes and in all cases we recommend adding our postcode HU17 0DY into your satnav to find the best way to get here, or you could check Google Maps.
