Many law firms close over the Christmas break, but not us. The first day back to work in January has become known as “Divorce D-Day”, because it is supposed to be divorce lawyers’ busiest day of the year. In truth, I used to find that the run-up to Christmas was often busier – but not any more! This year, the days between Christmas and New Year have been exceptionally busy for us.
I am not sure if “Divorce D-Day” has become a self-fulfilling prophecy, or if it is instead the case that a lot of people have found 2013 to be particularly difficult.
Just after Christmas I made my book, Divorce & Splitting Up: Advice From a Top Divorce Lawyer, free for a limited period. Given the clear need for family law advice, I have taken the step of making the Kindle edition of the book free once again.
Divorce & Splitting Up can be purchased FREE from Amazon from today (1 January 2014) until Sunday (5 January 2014).
This is the Kindle version of Divorce & Splitting Up. (At present, Amazon won’t allow a free promotion for the paperback edition, which continues to retail at £5.99.)
Divorce & Splitting Up: Advice From a Top Divorce Lawyer has sold more than 4,000 Kindle and paperback copies, and you don’t have to own a Kindle device to read the Kindle edition. You can still download and read the book for free on your computer, tablet or smartphone. Amazon provides a range of free reading apps for different devices, which you can find here.
At the time of writing the book has received nearly two dozen positive reader reviews, which you can read in full here.
Please note that, due to Amazon rules, this will be the book’s last free promotional period for some time.
If you download the book and find it useful, please do leave me a comment or an Amazon review to let me know what you think. As I have noted previously, I always appreciate your feedback.
