Claire Auchmuty Coaching

I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to navigate the emotional turmoil that comes with a relationship breakdown or divorce journey. My coaching style is empathetic, compassionate, intuitive and caring, and I believe in the power of a better question, to reveal options and choices that have previously been beyond our capacity to see.

Experience

Claire has a 36 year nursing background where she specialised in Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine. In her role as Emergency Department Nurse Manager for 16 years, she fine tuned many skills, including organising, prioritising, delegating, and understanding the importance of asking better questions.

In every aspect of her career, she has expertly supported and guided families through the traumas and crises they faced.

Following her marriage breakdown in 2015, Claire recognised the lack of support available when she did not know where or who to turn to for help and support outside family, friends and her solicitor. So, in 2020, she embarked on her divorce coaching career, initially training with Sara Davison Divorce Coaching, followed by the Divorce Coaching Academy, where she received her Diploma as a Professional Divorce Coach.

In June 2022, she decided to leave the nursing profession and work full time in her coaching practice. Based in Northern Ireland, Claire now supports clients in countries including Portugal, Mainland UK, Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

She is also an NLP Certified Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming).

Expertise

Claire is passionate about empowering people with knowledge and understanding as they navigate this complex life event. She specialises in supporting families with children of all ages, and as a paediatric nurse, she has an excellent understanding of the needs of a child.

She also specialises in supporting individuals to navigate stumbling blocks in the area of faith and divorce.

She was married to a church minister for 19 years and understands in a unique way the complexities that faith brings to this journey, including shame, guilt, expectations, the stories of others, and how strongly they can influence our thoughts and actions.

Approach

Claire brings a unique blend of skills, empathy and warmth to her coaching practice. She approaches each situation with an analytical and compassionate perspective, recognising that the journey of transitioning from chaos and isolation to clarity and connection requires an emotional and systematic approach.
