Debbie Durkin

Day to day role

As a Paralegal t Debbie assists her team in the Beverley office with the day to day running of client’s cases where no two days are ever the same.  This work ranges from taking notes during client meetings, preparation of Court documentation, lodging petitions and consent applications via the Court portal, drafting letters, preparation of asset schedules and Form Es.  She has day to day contact with clients, the Court and other firms of Solicitors to deal with queries as and when they arise.  She also works for lawyers in the Ilkley, Harrogate and York offices.

Career History/Experience

Debbie has worked in law for her entire career, having worked in her first job for over twenty years.  During this time she has covered all areas of law, but family law is her passion as it enables her to assist those at a time in their lives when they are in need.  She is an Associate member of the Chartered Instituted for Legal Executives and is currently working towards becoming a Graduate member.

Outside of work

Debbie enjoys spending time with her family and friends socialising.  She also enjoys rugby, a good sci-fi book, a cuppa and a bar of chocolate. She is currently working towards being a cat lady.
