Hannah Stubbs

Senior Associate, Birmingham & Leamington Spa

I advise clients on issues that arise before and after marriage with significant experience in divorce and the accompanying financial settlements and arrangements for children. My extensive experience of property law gives me an understanding of cohabitee disputes, trust and complex property ownership.

 

Specialisms

Hannah advises clients in respect of all aspects of private family law, with her expertise being financial disputes in respect of both married and unmarried parties.  She has a well-versed knowledge of property law that gives her an invaluable understanding of cohabitee disputes, trusts and complicated property ownership. Hannah has dealt with a range of financial disputes, from small net worth matters to large net worth cases with significant disputed assets.

Hannah is able to advise to clients in respect of issues that arise both before and after marriage, including prenuptial; postnuptial; cohabitation and separation agreements. She provides clear and constructive advice to mitigate risks to her clients in order to achieve positive results.

Hannah also advises clients in respect of Children issues involving protracted proceedings and matters arising outside of court. Hannah has dealt with very sensitive matters between parties in respect of Schedule 1, Child Arrangements and Specific Issue applications both as applicant and respondent.

Hannah strives to provide her clients with clear and understandable advice to ensure their needs are met throughout. Hannah is often praised by her clients for her direct yet caring approach which cuts through the uncertainty clients feel. She understands how intimidating the legal process can be for clients and ensures that they are supported every step of the way and builds genuine rapport from the outset.

Hannah works very meticulously and has strong attention to detail to provide pragmatic and dynamic approaches for her clients’ benefits.  Her personable and positive attitude allows her clients the space to feel at ease and reassured by her advice and to look forward to the future.

Training & employment

Hannah studied Law at the University of Reading, going on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford whilst training. Hannah qualified as a Solicitor in 2018 and has specialised in family law since. Hannah moved to Birmingham in 2018 and has worked with clients based around the country.

Outside of work

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys singing and is part of an acapella choir. Hannah also enjoys socialising with friends and is the Community Manager for a Birmingham based social group that brings together her love of organising and going for dinner. At home, Hannah is a keen cook and enjoys cooking Indian cuisine with her partner.
