Katy specialises in divorce and separation, division of financial assets following the breakdown of marriage and private law children matters.

Katy also advises couples at the outset of their relationship on how to protect their wealth with prenuptial agreements.

Approach

Katy is passionate about providing outstanding client care and building excellent relationship with clients. Katy will endeavour to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients and will always strive to achieve a resolution without a Court application being necessary. She will however protect her client’s interests at every stage and recognises that in some cases litigation is necessary to secure the best interests of her client.

Katy provides a high level of client service and builds excellent relationships with her clients and other professionals.

Katy is a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), as an SRA regulated solicitor and SRA Accredited Police Station Representative.

Training & employment

Katy initially graduated from the University of Wales with a B.A (Hons) in Business. Katy Then went onto study a Graduate Diploma in Law at Cardiff University in 2019, gaining a Commendation.

Following graduation, Katy successfully completed the Legal Practice Course at Swansea University.

Katy has worked in Family Law since April 2020 previously, in a Nationwide firm, qualifying as a solicitor in April 2021.

Prior this Katy worked in criminal law for over 10 years at firms in Wales and Australia, where she dealt with high profile and complex cases. Katy is also qualified as duty solicitor and has advised suspects at the police station for several years.

Katy is now a Senior Associate at Stowe Family Law’s South West & Wales offices; Bath, Bristol, Cardiff & Cheltenham.

Outside of work

Outside of work Katy enjoys anything that involves being outdoors and staying active including, trying to master surfing and can often be found walking the coastal path or hiking.  Katy loves to travel having lived and worked in Australia and likes nothing more than spending time with family and friends with delicious food.
