Laura is a senior associate in our Birmingham office.
I have a particular interest in complex financial remedy disputes and enforcement of orders. In 2023 I represented the successful applicant in the case of H v W [2023] EWFC 120, a case concerning an application under the little used Thwaite jurisdiction and other enforcement issues. More recently I have dealt with complex cases involving conduct allegations, applications for freezing orders and non-disclosure/hidden assets.
I have significant experience in dealing with Children Act proceedings, which started early in my career when I dealt with public law proceedings. In more recent times I have dealt with involving allegations of serious sexual harm and allegations of parental alienation, including where there have been fact finds.
I also enjoy dealing with nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
I have a firm but sensitive approach which I find clients respond well to, and can build rapport quickly and easily. I take the time to understand what clients want is most important to my clients in terms of what they want to achieve. I pride myself on providing a gold star service.
I graduated in 2010 with a 2:1 before completing the GDL and LPC and achieving commendation. I began working in family law in 2011 in a specialist family law firm where I qualified in 2015. I have worked in several firms across the West Midlands and Warwickshire.
I am a member of Resolution.
