Lin is a Senior Associate based in our Southampton law office.
I started my legal career as a legal secretary at a firm of solicitors in my home town of Ledbury in 1978. I was employed as a legal secretary for many years until, after encouragement from one of my employers in 1996, I decided to study with CILEx (or ILEX as they were known back then) to become a Chartered Legal Executive. I qualified and became a Fellow in 2010 having obtained an distinction in Family Practice.
I qualified as a Collaborative Family Lawyer in 2020 and now chair our Collaborative POD (Collaborative Family Solutions).
I obtained my CILEx Regulation Reserved Legal Activities Certificate in February 2026 enabling me to conduct litigation in accordance with the Legal Services Act 2007.
I have worked at other reputable firms in Andover and Salisbury since moving to the area in 1994. I joined Stowe’s Southampton office in March 2026.
I specialise in all areas of family law dealing with divorce/separation, financial settlements involving cases with limited assets, pensions and high net worth/complex cases , child arrangements, pre and post nuptial agreements, injunctions, separation and living together agreements.
As I am collaboratively trained, I am an advocate of the collaborative law process and keen to promote this form of non-court dispute resolution to all my clients.
As a dedicated member of Resolution, I endeavour to promote a constructive approach to family issues that considers the needs of the parties and any relevant children. The majority of my clients come from referrals and recommendations from previous clients. Clients describe me as no-nonsense but empathetic, highly professional, clear and efficient.
I pride myself on my ability to settle most of my cases out of court.
I am a member of Resolution and Chair of the Collaborative Family Solutions POD covering Salisbury and surrounding areas (www.cfsfamily.co.uk).
I am certified in Mental Health Awareness.
I enjoy networking and have been a member of Salisbury Ambassadors Networking group for over 8 years.
My interests are keeping fit (running and strength training), spending time with my family, especially, my 4 gorgeous grandchildren who keep me on my toes and help keep me fit, attending live music venues, travelling, reading and eating out.
