Lydia is a Trainee Solicitor based in Stowe’s Manchester office.

Training & experience 

Lydia completed her Law Degree and LPC LLM at Nottingham Trent University, achieving a Distinction in both. Before embarking on her training contract, Lydia dedicated a year to serving as a paralegal at a Family Law firm. Her professional journey also included valuable experience in Employment Law and Public Family Law, gained through work placements at two distinct law firms.

In December 2023, Lydia joined Stowe’s Manchester office.

Specialisms

Lydia specializes in handling a diverse range of cases, encompassing Separation, Pre-nuptial and Post-nuptial Agreements, Private Children Act Matters, Divorce, Financial Relief, TOLATA (Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act), and Domestic Violence.

Lydia demonstrates a keen interest in tackling more intricate financial matters and cases falling under the ambit of TOLATA. Her dedication and expertise make her a valuable asset in navigating the complexities of family law.

Lydia was honored with the Shoosmiths Prize for the Best Research Project in the academic year 2020-2021. This prestigious award recognized her outstanding dissertation, which delved into the intricacies of Abortion Laws in England and Wales.

Outside of work

Lydia enjoys spending time with friends, going to the gym, playing tennis, and visiting her family, including two dogs, in Lincoln.
