Madeleine is a Senior Associate based in our Oxford office.
Madeleine qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and has since worked at a number of highly regarded law firms in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire prior to joining Stowe Family Law’s Oxford office in November 2023.
Madeleine has gained considerable experience in a variety of family law matters including divorce and separation, financial arrangements, children matters, pre nuptial and post nuptial agreements and family mediation.
Madeleine is a family mediator, working towards accreditation and is collaboratively trained.
Madeleine has experience acting for mid and high net worth individuals, as well as individuals with modest assets and income. Madeleine also has significant experience representing parents and grandparents in complex private law children matters (involving domestic abuse, findings of fact, parental alienation, high conflict and intractable disputes).
Madeleine believes that it is possible to make a positive choice to separate in a non-confrontational manner. She promotes non-court options wherever possible, strongly believing that these offer the best outcomes for a family and that court proceedings should only be a last resort. Having gone through her own divorce, Madeleine understands the emotional impact that separating has on the individual and as a family. Madeleine has trained as a divorce coach to help offer emotional and practical support to clients in addition to legal advice. Madeleine encourages her clients to separate with dignity and to focus on a more positive future.
Madeleine is a member of Resolution and the Family Mediation Council. She is a collaborative lawyer and mediator working towards accreditation.
Outside of work, Madeleine enjoys travelling and spending time with her daughter.
