Rachael Harwin

Training & experience 

Rachael qualified as a Solicitor in May 2021. She completed her Bachelor of Laws in 2016, followed by a Master of Laws and the Legal Practice (Solicitors) programme in 2021.

She undertook her training contract with a Cambridgeshire firm full-time, whilst simultaneously studying for her Masters and Legal Practice part-time. Rachael then spent a period of 6 months working with Stowe as a Solicitor under their NQ Induction Scheme before working as a Solicitor within a large regional firm in Yorkshire for 18 months before returning back to Stowe’s Sheffield office in April 2023.

Rachael has worked on a variety of cases, including private children law cases, domestic abuse, pre-nuptial agreements, separation agreements, financial remedy (both consented and contested) and TOLATA 1996.

Specialisms

Rachael specialises in Children Act 1989, Financial Remedy (consented or contested), Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements and Domestic Abuse.

Approach

Rachael is kind and compassionate, approachable and responsive to clients. She listens carefully to client’s instructions and is attuned to their needs so that she can take a cautious and well-measured approach to each case so that they can be dealt with cost effectively without inflaming matters.

Rahael is a strong advocate to ensure that outcomes are achieved in each client’s best interests, but is keen to keep temperatures down where possible and provide clients with the flexibility of different options to achieve outcomes that are workable and allow them to move forward with their separate lives without the risk of issues arising further down the line.

Outside of work

Outside of work, Rachael enjoys eating out, travel, water sports and long walks with her Cockapoo, Pippin.
