Sarah has significant experience dealing with all areas of family law, including separation, divorce, financial matters, pre and post nuptial agreements, cohabitation, disputes involving children, and injunctive relief.
Sarah has represented clients in highly contested Children Act proceedings, including urgent and emergency applications. Sarah has experience dealing with cases involving serious domestic abuse allegations, fabricated or induced illness, alienating behaviours, alcohol/drug issues, and cases that have required expert evidence in the form of psychologists and paediatricians. Many of Sarah’s cases have also involved the appointment of a Guardian for the child/children.
Sarah has represented clients in medium to high-net-worth financial remedy cases, including those with significant business assets, residential and commercial properties, and overseas assets.
Sarah is a Senior Associate at the Nottingham and Derby offices.
Sarah is a member of Resolution, a Resolution Committee Member for the Nottingham and East Midlands Regional Committee and Co-Founder/Chair of Nottingham and East Midlands YRes. She has also written various articles for the Resolution “The Review” magazine. Sarah regularly attends networking events with local barristers’ chambers, legal firms, mediators, and financial advisors.

Sarah is currently undertaking her Family Law accreditation with the Law Society and is set to complete this before the end of 2025.

Sarah studied Law at the University of Liverpool and completed the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School, achieving a distinction.
Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor, Sarah worked for several years in criminal justice, which included roles for Derbyshire Constabulary, HMCTS and the CRB. Before joining Stowe Family Law in January 2022, Sarah worked as a Family Solicitor for 3 years at a large Legal 500 firm.
Sarah loves to travel and her favourite place in the UK is the Lake District. Sarah is a keen runner and is currently on the path to achieving her six-star finisher medal in the World Marathon Majors.
