Accessibility statement

We are committed to making our website accessible and inclusive. As the UK’s largest specialist family law firm with 98 offices nationwide, we understand that accessing legal information is essential at significant life turning points. We want everyone to be able to use our website to find this information with confidence.

Our approach to accessibility

We currently have partial compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard and aim to achieve full compliance.

Although we are not yet fully compliant, improving accessibility is an ongoing priority for us. We are continually reviewing and developing our website to make it more inclusive and easier to use.

Using this website

Users should be able to:

• Zoom to 200%
• Navigate using only a keyboard
• Use screen readers
• Change colours using browser settings
• Resize text without loss of functionality

Office accessibility

All of our office pages display their current accessibility information. If you require any adjustments to access our offices, please let the team know when you arrange your appointment.

How we currently test

• We use automated accessibility scanning software, including PowerMapper by SortSite, to identify technical issues.
• We carry out manual testing using keyboard-only navigation.
• We review new content to keep it clear, structured and readable.
• WAVE accessibility plugin.

Areas we are improving

We are aware that some parts of the website do not yet fully meet accessibility standards. In particular:

PDF documents

Our PDF guides are not fully accessible for assistive technology users. We are working to ensure that new documents are created in an accessible format and will update older documents where feasible.

Colour contrast

Some banner areas may not have strong enough contrast between text and background. We are reviewing and updating these designs to improve readability.

Alternative text

Some older images may be missing alternative (alt) text or may not have sufficiently detailed descriptions. We are auditing and improving this content where appropriate.

Manual testing

We have not yet carried out manual testing across the entire site with real users of assistive technology.
