Stowe Family Law (Stowe) – the UK’s largest specialist family law firm –continues to widen its nationwide presence with the opening of its 43rd office in Southampton.
Helping to provide much-needed reassurance in a time of continued anxiety for many couples, the new office will help clients across Southampton access some of the country’s top family lawyers.
As the UK draws closer to the introduction of no-fault divorce in April this year, a recent study conducted by the firm revealed that over 79% of people living in the Southeast were not aware that divorce law in England and Wales is due to change.
Under the new no-fault divorce laws, the largest shake-up of divorce law since it began, couples will be able to divorce without the need to blame each other for the irretrievable break down of the relationship.
Less than 50% of those surveyed knew what no-fault divorce meant. Of those that were familiar with no-fault divorce, 55% felt that divorce will become quicker and 60% felt it would become easier.
The family law team in Southampton is led by Partner, Vicki Rawlins who is highly experienced in all aspects of family law, including advising and representing clients in the process of divorce, unmarried separation, financial settlements, and child law matters.
