Emma qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and throughout her legal career she has worked exclusively in the area of family law.

Although well rehearsed in the entire divorce and financial remedy process, Emma’s main area of practice is private children law and Family Law Act applications.
Emma joined Stowe’s Birmingham office in March 2024.
Emma specialises in complex children matters and has extensive experience in guiding parents through the process of resolving child arrangements (including intractable contact and parental alienation), fact find hearings, prohibited steps and specific issues (including leave to remove from the jurisdiction and internal relocation).
In addition to private children law applications, Emma regularly advises and represents clients in respect of Family Law Act applications, including Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders.
Emma is straight talking yet always sensitive to the emotional needs of her clients.
Emma firmly believes that it is essential that her clients have the benefit of clear, robust and realistic advice from the outset and she strives to work constructively with them to achieve an outcome that will enable them to move forward with their lives as quickly as possible.

Emma loves nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, and going for long walks with her dog. When she gets the opportunity to enjoy some quiet time she curls up with a good book or watches a film.
