Michelle Richardson

Day to day role

Michelle is a Legal Assistant working with lawyers in the Yorkshire region. Her role involves working closely with the lawyers to provide administrative assistance on all matters.  This includes dealing directly with clients, other side solicitors and Courts, ensuring any queries are dealt with in a timely manner and that client’s needs are met at all times. She provides general assistance in relation to all divorce and financial matters including drafting documentation, collating information, keeping files up to date and dealing with general day-to-day requirements and needs of the lawyers.

Career history & experience

Michelle began her career working in banking in Dublin and completed her Certificate in Law at college in Dublin. Moving to London in 1988, Michelle  worked in conveyancing and then litigation and receiverships with a London based firm of solicitors for 10 years before starting a family and running her own childminding business. She joined Stowe Family Law in 2015 working as a legal secretary before becoming a Legal Assistant in 2020.

Outside of work

Michelle loves to spend time with her family and friends, enjoying 3 trips home to Ireland every year to spend time with family there.  She enjoys swimming, an odd spa day, long country walks, reading and music.  She also has an interest in art and absolutely loves to visit art galleries, especially to see works by her favourite artist Danielle O’Connor Akiyama.
