Shaughney is a solicitor working in Stowe’s Cheltenham office.

Shaughney has experience of working on a wide range of Family Law matters to include divorce, financial matters, children arrangements, pre-nuptial arrangements and matters arising upon separation.
Not long after securing her first role within Family Law, Shaughney became extremely passionate and determined to help individuals during one of the most difficult stages in their lives, whether that be sorting important financial issues or being able to build a strong and close bond with their children.
Approach
Shaughney adopts a sensitive and empathetic approach whilst ensuring to listen to her clients when discussing their aims and concerns. She strives to reach the best outcome for the client as well as a swift resolution.
Training and experience
Shaughney attended the University of Gloucestershire where she was able to obtain her LLB before proceedings to obtain the LPC after the University of the West of England.
During her studies, Shaughney gained years of invaluable experience working as private family law paralegal in firms in Cirencester and Cheltenham. As a result, she commenced her training contract with Hughes Paddison Solicitors which included a 11 month seat within the private family team.
Shaughney qualified as a solicitor in October 2024.
Outside of work
Shaughney enjoys spending time with her family to include her young son and two dogs. She is a true crime fanatic and also takes pleasure in watching all of the latest serial dramas.
