Beth is a Senior Associate based in our St Albans family law office.
Beth specialises in all areas of private family law, but she is particularly well placed to advise on cross-border family law matters, having forged strong professional links with counterparts in the Nordic region. She also specialises in dealing with disputes concerning unmarried couples.
Beth is specialised in private family law practice since qualification, and assists across a range of private family law matters, including: divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, high net worth financial remedy, modest asset cases, private law children, disputes between unmarried couples (including drafting deeds of separation and litigating under TOLATA), acting for intervenors, international relocation work, domestic injunctions, ADR (including attending hybrid mediation, arbitration and private FDRs), cases involving trusts, and drafting cohabitation/nuptial agreements. She is experienced in advising on cross-border family law matters.
She graduated from the University of Leeds in 2012 with first class honours in Law. She went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the University of Hertfordshire, achieving a distinction and the highest mark in the county. Beth completed her training contract at a leading regional firm and qualified as a solicitor in March 2018. Since then, she has worked exclusively in family law, spending the first eight years of life as a qualified solicitor working at a highly regarded specialist family law firm before she joined Stowe as a Senior Associate in September 2026.
Beth prides herself on her ability to foster strong relationships with my clients, helping them to focus on and achieve their objectives, and to navigate them through the process at what she recognises to be a challenging point of their lives. She endeavours to reach a cost effective resolution for my clients, and as a member of Resolution, she is committed to approaching family law cases in a non-confrontational manner. She is sensitive to the stress and anxiety that can be brought on by a relationship breakdown, and provides her clients with clear and pragmatic advice from the outset. She adopts a trauma-informed approach to those cases which require it.
Beth is a member of Resolution, The Finnish British Law Association, and achieved the highest mark for the LPC in 2016 (University of Hertfordshire).
Beth has strong, longstanding links with the Anglo-Nordic community, both in a personal and professional capacity. She travels to Finland several times a year and enjoys spending time there with her young family. She is an active member of the St Albans Finnish school (St Albansin suomikoulu).
