Maryana Tuka

Training and experience

Maryana completed her Law Degree at the University of Liverpool and pursued her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law (Bloomsbury). Alongside completing her Training Contract, she successfully qualified as a solicitor in September 2018.

Maryana joined Stowe’s St Albans office in December 2023.

Specialisms 

Maryana specialises in handling cases related to Separation, Divorce, Financial Relief, Private Children Act Matters, Domestic Violence, and TOLATA. She holds a particular interest in Fertility Law and provides counsel on Nuptial Agreements. Maryana is dedicated to assisting parents on their Surrogacy journey and supports those in need of a Donor Agreement.

Her extensive experience encompasses cases involving significant income and capital, both within and outside this jurisdiction. She is well-versed in managing family business disputes and navigating complexities related to pensions, including public sector and military schemes. Maryana is adept at negotiating arrangements for children, addressing specific issues such as schooling and relocation disputes with a compassionate approach.

Acknowledging the often traumatic nature of family breakdowns, she is dedicated to securing fair outcomes for all parties involved while diligently working to meet her clients’ objectives.

As an accredited specialist, she demonstrates a high level of competence and possesses a thorough understanding of the law, procedural intricacies, and established practices in her field. This commitment ensures that she navigates the complexities of family matters with expertise and a focus on achieving amicable solutions.

Accreditations, memberships & awards

Maryana has achieved accreditation from Resolution as a specialist in Divorce & Complex Finances and Private Children Law, highlighting her proficiency in these areas. She actively participates in important events and supports the valuable work conducted by The Surrogacy Network. Furthermore, Maryana is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, having been called to the Bar in October 2015, demonstrating her dedication and standing within the legal community.
