Samantha Edwards

Training & employment

Samantha studied law at Bournemouth University and undertook a placement year as a legal advisor at Shoosmiths before finishing her final year. During her final year, Samantha also worked as a paralegal in the personal injury department at Lester Aldridge, where she had secured her training contract. She left LA to complete her LPC at Bournemouth University and then started her training contact with LA in September 2018. Samantha undertook two seats in the family team and then qualified into the family team at LA in September 2020.

Samantha joined Stowe Family Law’s Tunbridge Wells team in May 2022.

Specialisms

Samantha specialises in divorce and separation, financial settlement and cohabitation disputes, private children work so child arrangements, specific issue orders and prohibited steps orders and issues/orders surrounding domestic abuse.

Approach

Samantha always strives to achieve the best outcome possible for her clients. She is approachable, friendly and understands that each family case is different and presents its own challenges. She offers clear, pragmatic and practical advice and always has her client’s best interests at heart.

Memberships

Samantha was a member of the Dorset Resolution and YRes committees from 2020-2022. She is a member of Resolution.

Outside of work

Samantha enjoys paddleboarding, going to the theatre and reading a good book. She also enjoys travelling abroad and spending time with her family and friends.
