Reality TV star says the father of her children hardly sees them

Reality TV star Kerry Katona has criticized her ex-husband, the former Westlife singer Brian McFadden for rarely seeing their two daughters.

Speaking at the launch of a new autobiography called Still Standing, the 32 year-old  former Atomic Kitten singer told website Digital Spy:

“Brian lives inAustralia. They see him about twice a year. I think it’s quite shocking. As far as I’m aware, they don’t even speak every week.”

She added:

“I’m not here to slag Brian off, I’m just stating facts. I never had a dad myself and I think any kind of man who moves to the other side of the world and leaves their children is terrible – I don’t think it’s acceptable.”

She continued:

“I don’t know Brian anymore. I’d give anything to ring him up and asking him to come to parents’ evening or something, just for the kids. Or saying to him and his missus, ‘They’ve got a play – do you want to come and watch?……..They’ve seen me and their dad in the same room I think once since we split which is really, really sad.”

Katona and McFadden divorced in 2006. They daughter Mollie is now 11 and Lily-Sue is nine.
