Scottish musician KT Tunstall is to divorce drummer husband Luke Bullen after less than five years together, according to Ms Tunstall’s spokesperson.
The singer’s representative said that the couple had been having problems for months and added:
“KT and Luke separated around August – September time and now they are getting divorced.”
The reasons for the separation have not been mentioned.
The couple met and started dating in 2003, when Mr Bullen was a drummer in Ms Tunstall’s backing band. They were engaged on Christmas Day 2007 and married in September 2008 on the Isle of Skye in a music festival-style celebration.
The 37 year old singer whose real name is Kate Victoria had spoken of her desire to start a family with Mr Bullen, also saying he kept her “on the straight and narrow”.
Ms Tunstall is famous for songs such as ‘Suddenly I See’ and ‘Other Side of the World’. She is currently working on a new album and has a series of festival appearances planned for the summer.
KT first rose to fame when she appeared on Later…with Jools Holland in 2004, playing her debut single ‘Black Horse and the Cherry Tree’.
