US TV personality Bethenny Frankel has described her recent divorce from pharmaceutical executive Jason Hoppy as “rough”.
The split was “excruciating”, she admitted during an appearance on magazine show Good Day New York, telling anchor Greg Kelly:
“I have to say, divorce is the most difficult thing you could ever go through in your entire life.”
Frankel, who appeared on popular reality TV show The Real Housewives of New York, admitted that she had never thought she might find herself going through divorce, which was, she said “a brutal, unnatural situation”.
But her “amazing” two year old daughter Bryn has been a consolation.
“Kids make you do things you’d never do. They bring out the best in you.”
Frankel’s 2010 marriage to Jason Hoppy was featured in her own reality TV show, Bethenny Ever After, originally titled Bethenny Getting Married? The couple separated in December 2012 and Frankel filed for divorce in January this year.
Frankel, 42,is also the founder of Skinnygirl Cocktails.
