Actress Jane Seymour announces divorce

Actress Jane Seymour is to divorce from her fourth husband, actor and producer James Keach.

According to reports, Keach, now 65, moved out of the couple’s Malibu mansion earlier this year after their relationship became strained.

A spokesperson for the actress has now confirmed the end of their 20 year marriage.

“Jane Seymour and James Keach confirm that they are separated and have been for several months. At this time they are negotiating the terms of their divorce. They will continue their relationship as devoted parents to their children, as business associates and partners and in their joint dedication to preserving and furthering the charitable endeavours they’ve worked on throughout their marriage.”

Seymour and Keach both attended an fundraising event for the Open Hearts Foundation in Malibu on Saturday.

Jane Seymour – best known for her roles in Dr No and Dr Quinn Medicine Woman – married Keach in 1993 and the couple had twins, now aged 17: Johnny Stacy and Kristopher Steven, who were named after singer Johnny Cash and actor Christopher Reeve. The latter was a friend of Seymour’s and co-starred with her in the film Somewhere in Time.

Seymour, born Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg, also has two children from her earlier marriage to business manager David Flynn. Her first husband was theatre director Michael Attenborough, son of actor Richard Attenborough.
