Long term fostering service launched

Children|November 3rd 2015

A national matching service for fostered children has been launched by social care organisation Link Maker.

Placement Link will allow local authorities to list local children in need for long-term foster care. Foster carers will be able to view profiles of the youngsters, while details of the carers themselves will also be included, allowing the process of matching needy children with suitable foster carers to be accelerated.

The system, described as an online community, will be available to both social workers for local authorities and independent fostering organisations working to help foster carers find children they may be able to help.

Charity the Fostering Network will provide support and information for foster carers who use the service.

Treating Children as Commodities, like products in a catalogue, this is modern day slavery, where the wishes and feelings of the children and families are totally disregarded in order to supply the fuel to keep this sickening INDUSTRY going.
