Veteran actors Debra Winger and Tracy Letts are to star in a forthcoming comedy about a divorcing couple.
The Lovers, scheduled to begin filming next month, tells the story of Michael and Mary, whose marriage has gone sour. They both have taken lovers and plan to divorce each other.
But when they sit down to plan the details of their split, the couple begin to fall back in love with each other.
Debra Winger, born to an Orthodox Jewish family in Ohio, is now 60 and has had a long career, dating back to the mid-1970s. She is perhaps best known her roles in early 80s comedy dramas Terms of Endearment and An Officer and a Gentleman.
Meanwhile, Tracy Letts, 50, is a playwright, screenwriter and actor. His acting career dates back to the 1980s and includes film, stage and television. He recently appeared in popular TV spy drama Homeland. He is also set to feature in a new HBO comedy series Divorce, which due to air later this year.
