Senior Partner Marilyn Stowe was featured in the Daily Mail over the bank holiday weekend as she discussed the division of assets in Ryan Giggs’ divorce case. It looks like this may well be one of the largest sporting divorce settlements in British history.
Giggs and his wife Stacey have two children and had been a couple since 2002, later marrying in 2007.
The ex-Manchester United star is thought to earn around £3million per year in his current role as the assistant manager of the club, as well as being a director of a number of companies.
Mrs Stowe suggested that Stacey Giggs would be receiving a substantial portion of the wealth with the settlement starting at “a 50/50 division of assets”.
The court will take into consideration the standard of living that the couple’s children are used to and, provided that Mrs Giggs takes care of them, Marilyn thinks that “she will do very well”.
