New family law office in Bath
Stowe Family Law (Stowe) – the UK’s largest specialist family law firm – has opened an office in Bath today. The firm’s South West presence is going from strength to strength as Bath joins Bristol and Cheltenham in supporting the region.
While the firm expands country-wide, the new Bath office will help the South West region access some of the country’s top family lawyers at a time when divorce enquiries are rising significantly due to Covid-19.
The family law team in Bath will be headed up by Louise Chipchase, supported by the firm’s South West & Wales teams. Bath’s office will bring together a wealth of legal experience and partnerships with other professionals to advise clients across the city and surrounding areas in Somerset.
The team’s expertise covers all family law matters, from providing advice concerning divorce and separation; child living arrangements to resolving financial matters.
Having experienced a 95% increase in divorce enquiries year on year since Covid-19 struck, Stowe decided to conduct a survey looking into the motivations behind this increase. Broken down by region, the survey highlighted that spending too much time together was the primary reason respondents in the South West cited for their relationship breaking down. Interestingly, the South West was the only region where 100% of respondents said they had no tensions in their relationship before Covid.
