St Albans Centurions got a boost this week with the delivery of new kit for their first team courtesy of sponsorship from Stowe Family Law.
“Rugby League is one of my passions, and I’m a lifelong Leeds Rhinos supporter.” says senior partner Marilyn Stowe. “When we opened our new office in St Albans and I discovered that there was an active rugby league team, I just had to get involved.
“The people of St Albans and the surrounding area have been very generous in their welcome to us, so I’m really happy to be able to give something back and support the St Albans Centurions. I hope that our support brings them luck.”
Centurions’ Chair, Brian Parker, is delighted by the new backing. “As an amateur club we rely on the generous support of local businesses to provide training and playing opportunities for local people. We’re really pleased that a dedicated rugby league fan like Marilyn has been able to help.”
The Centurions’ new kit will get its first outing this Saturday, May 23 when the team faces the St Ives Roosters. Kick off is at 2.30 pm at Toulmin Drive, New Greens, St Albans.
