Supreme Court throws a lifeline to cross-border ‘tug of love’ children

Our Senior Partner Marilyn Stowe has been commenting on the recent Supreme Court’s landmark ruling, upholding an appeal by the mother of four for the return of all her children from Pakistan.

Marily Stowe, senior partner of Stowe Family Law, said that the Supreme Court had made a “brilliant and incisive decision” in advising the use of the Crown’s rare power of “parens patriae” so as to protect the child, a British national.
