A father who had just found out his ex-wife was planning on moving away and relocating with his daughter contacted us. The news was unexpected, and the father was upset. Concerned that it meant he wouldn’t be able to see his daughter as much, the father felt this would damage their relationship.

Not sure what to do, the father decided to reach out to a Stowe solicitor who dealt with child arrangement cases. After contacting Stowe Family Law, he was put in touch with Rebecca Calden Storr, the Managing Partner of our Birmingham family law solicitors.

Family law explained in straightforward terms

Rebecca explained each stage of the process to the client in straightforward terms. Our approach was based on the father’s role as an equal parent. To maintain a strong relationship with both parents, Stowe argued that it was in the child’s best interests to stay locally, near to their father. The client was reassured by Rebecca’s clear and calm approach to the case.

New child arrangements agreed with shared care

The successful outcome of this case meant that a new child arrangement agreement was put in place that would mean equal time with the child. This also respected the daughter’s wishes. With our help, the outcome prevented the disruptive relocation and has also helped strengthen the parent-child bond.

The client said that he “couldn’t be happier” with the positive result, thanking Rebecca for her outstanding advice and compassionate support. Following his positive experience with Stowe Family Law, the client went on to say:

“Rebecca held our hand throughout the process, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She explains everything in simple terms so we fully understood everything happening and her advice was second to none. Most importantly, we achieved an end result that reflected our daughter’s wishes and meant that my time with her has increased to shared care.”
