Family Court Fees to Rise

March 28, 2024

The President of the Family Division has published guidance on the conduct of family law cases with an international dimension.

In newly published documents, Sir James Munby addresses procedure in two related areas:

*Liaison between English and Welsh family courts and British embassies and High Commissions in other countries.

And:

*The transfer of proceedings from one country to another, under EU regulations Brussels IIa and/ or the 1996 Hague Convention on Parental Responsibility and Protection of Children.

Meanwhile, the third document provides answer to frequently asked questions about family cases involving more than one country.

The documents are available for download here, here, and here respectively.
