The study used historical divorce data to determine how successful marriages are in each town and city in the UK, as well as how likely they are to terminate in divorce based on where people live.
The study compares the amount of divorce applications by postcode to the national average divorce rate, indicating how likely couples are to stay married based on where they reside, using an interactive database loaded with publicly available UK divorce data.
Durham Divorce Rate
Results include:
- Overall, Durham has a divorce rate that is 1.5% below the national average.
- The DH8 postcode area has the highest divorce rate which is 150% higher than the national average.
- The DH2 postcode area has the lowest divorce rate which is 130% lower than the national average.
- The DH4 postcode sits within the national average.
