Stowe Testimonials

Amy advises and represents clients on a variety of family law matters and can adapt her approach to the needs of the case whilst ensuring that common sense is applied alongside the law. She advises people on the practical, legal and financial consequences which can arise from relationship breakdown. This covers cases with a wide range of assets, including high net and complex business structures. Amy also helps clients through separation, divorce and financial settlements to help ensure that their best interests are met.

Bringing experience from previous roles, Amy is a known specialist in children matters. This includes the resolution of contact arrangements and the difficult decisions concerning where the child(ren) shall live post-separation. She also deals with many cases involving complex issues around relocation, representing both the parent wishing to relocate and the other parent.

Amy has an increasing client base seeking her assistance with regard to international children matters. Her work also extends to representation of grandparents and other family members when needed.

She has also established the new private law adoption team within Stowe Family Law. Amy heads up this growing department and hopes to help in an area where legal services can be often lacking.

Training & employment experience

Amy earned her LLB (Hons) in 2008 before graduating from York University in 2010 with an MA in Applied Human Rights. Whilst Amy continues to work in her spare time with human rights organisations, her primary focus is being a specialist family law solicitor. Amy has previously worked within public law and as a member of the Law Society’s Children’s Panel. She now deals with private law matters and has over eight years’ experience within family law. Amy is also an accredited member of the Law Society Family Law Advanced Panel.

Amy is known for being able to adapt her approach depending upon the circumstances of the case and to ensure the best outcome for her clients. In all areas of work, Amy is highly experienced and offers a great deal of care and commitment to her clients, whether that be negotiating an agreement or, when necessary, contentious court proceedings.
