Jake is a Resolution Member and keen advocate, specialising in Children Act applications and Divorce/Financial Remedy cases.

Approach

Jake is a straight talking and friendly solicitor who focuses on achieving his clients’ goals in the most swift and proportionate way possible. Whilst not adverse to a day in Court, Jake prefers to fulfil his client’s objectives outside of Court where possible, to allow a cost-effective approach allowing clients the time to come to decisions that are right for them.

Training & Employment

Jake studied law at Wakefield College and then Teesside University, graduating in 2012. He then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, in York. A Yorkshireman and a Lawyer through and through, he then gained experience with a local legal aid law firm in Wakefield before taking on a private caseload and qualifying at a regional firm in Pontefract, joining us at Stowe Family Law in August 2021.

Outside of Work

Outside of work Jake enjoys playing football whenever and wherever he can (still clinging to the Premier League dream). He is a keen runner and quizzer, amateur guitarist and is currently attempting to become fluent in Spanish.
