Jennifer Williamson is a Resolution accredited specialist solicitor, based in the Winchester office. She joined the firm in February 2016, from a highly regarded Legal 500 and Chambers listed practice in Berkshire, bringing a wealth of experience with her.
Jennifer is compassionate and understanding. Her clients benefit from her logical and methodical style, the result of her scientific background (she earned a BSc (Hons) from the University of Birmingham). This approach is ideally suited to deal with family law matters. Barristers working with her have said that she has the enviable skill of being able to firmly pursue her clients’ cases whilst avoiding costly litigation by correspondence.
Jennifer practices in all aspects of family law. This includes (in no particular order) dealing with:
- married and unmarried couples
- pre- and postnuptial agreements
Jennifer has acted in cases which featured a wide array of complex financial issues such as assets held in trusts, tied up in companies, share schemes and restricted stock units. She has also achieved some outstanding results in private law children matters involving issues such as with whom children are to live, or spend time, and when. This area of family law can be particularly stressful and upsetting, so she takes time to ensure that her clients feel supported, listened to, and represented to the hilt.
Jennifer also has expertise in matters involving international issues, such work following on from her being a prize winner in the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (European Chapter) Annual Award for Young Family Lawyers for 2013/14.
Jennifer lives in Kings Worthy, Winchester, with her young family. Outside of work, as and when time allows, she enjoys sampling the various culinary delights that Winchester has to offer!
Former clients say:
“Jennifer’s sympathetic, considerate and patient, loving perspective took into account the sensitivity of the case for both sides. The approach was absolutely fantastic and it was the family orientation that made the difference. Love and Family helped us all garner around something very different in the face of the hostility facing us. Alongside this hard emotional work Jennifer was also aware of managing costs in a sensitive and pragmatic manner which helped remove one of the areas that adds another level or worry and stress.”
“…took all my considerations into account and completely understood my case. They were kind and very child focused. I could not have had a better service at what was a difficult time. I always felt extremely well looked after.”
