In this high-net-worth divorce, Shivi Rajput acted for a client after joining proceedings partway through the case, following a Financial Dispute Resolution (FDR) hearing. The dispute concerned a financial settlement valued at about £1 million, with the majority of assets held in the spouse’s name.
Our client had moved from overseas and had given up their business. The spouse was a highly paid professional, and the couple separated after a relatively short time. When this happened, the spouse stopped working, spent heavily, refused to cooperate financially, and failed to pay interim maintenance.

Interim spousal maintenance orders were also obtained, providing essential financial support. Shivi represented the client through to the final hearing, presenting a clear and persuasive case.
The financial settlement achieved was fair and practical, considering the challenging circumstances. The client secured a significant lump sum payment, plus spousal maintenance for three years.
