More about us – divorce solicitors Bicester

More about us – divorce solicitors Bicester

  • On average, how long does it take to finalise a divorce in Bicester?

For a simple divorce case, it can take between 6-8 months to complete a divorce in England and Wales. However, if you need to negotiate a financial settlement or agree on child arrangement orders, this can extend how long your divorce proceedings take.

We understand that the divorce process can be an extremely stressful time that can affect all aspects of your life, so you want it to be completed sooner rather than later.

Our Bicester divorce solicitors will work tirelessly to prevent any delays in your divorce proceedings, so you can move forward with life after divorce.

  • What will my divorce cost me?

The cost of a divorce is dependent on each individual’s case, but the set cost of the divorce application stays the same at £612. For example, a ‘clean’ divorce is typically cheaper as there is less negotiating involved.

Our lawyers in Bicester will be able to give you an accurate estimate for your specific circumstances. Get in contact with our team today.

  • Who do children live with after a divorce?

The family typically decides who the children live with after a divorce, but the children’s wants should also be prioritised. We understand that this can be a difficult process, but our child law specialists are here to guide you through the process.

You could decide to do sole or joint custody of your children, but if the court is involved, they may decide that a third-party custody, like grandparents, should be included. Especially if they believe it will benefit children’s wellbeing.

Liza is the Managing Partner for our South Coast and Central team, overseeing the Winchester, Southampton, and other regional offices. She is experienced in divorce, financial matters, and legal issues involving children.
