Can you help me start a divorce application?
Yes! Our divorce lawyers have been helping Newcastle couples with their applications for over 50 years.
We’ll work with you to start the divorce process (which can’t begin until you’ve been married for 12 months) by submitting your application (Form D8) to the courts. It’s important to note that this process can be done as a sole applicant or as joint applications alongside your ex. No matter what, this requires a payment of £612.
If you are asked to respond to a divorce application, it simply means that your ex has begun the divorce process.

Do you know how long my divorce will take to complete?
There is no set time on how long a divorce will take, but typically the process lasts between 6-8 months. However, this is completely dependent on the complexities involved.

What do I need to consider when deciding arrangements for child custody?
