More about our Soho family law solicitors

  • How much does divorce cost?

If your divorce is straightforward, our fixed-fee divorce option may be suitable. In cases where financial settlements, property disputes, or child arrangements need to be resolved, your solicitor will outline an initial cost estimate following an initial discussion. More detail can be found in our divorce costs and family law fees information.

  • Do you handle cases at the Central Family Court in London?

Yes. Most cases are resolved out of court, but if a hearing is required you will attend the Central Family Court at First Avenue House (WC1V 6NP) in Holborn. Our solicitors will ensure you are fully prepared and supported throughout the process.

  • Where is the Central Family Court and how do I get there from Soho?

The Central Family Court is located at First Avenue House in Holborn, close to Lincoln’s Inn Fields, the Royal Courts of Justice and the British Museum. It is around a 5-minute walk from Holborn Underground Station via High Holborn towards Kingsway.

From our Soho office at Rose House on Manette street (W1D 4AL), it is approximately a 15–20 minute walk via Charing Cross Road and Tottenham Court Road, or a short journey on the Central line to Holborn. Nearby cafés include Pret A Manger and Starbucks on High Holborn and independent favourite Knockbox Coffee on Lamb’s Conduit Street if you arrive early.

If driving, parking is available at Bloomsbury Square and NCP Covent Garden car parks, both within walking distance of the court.

  • Do you provide in-house accountancy support for your Soho clients?

We’re proud to have an in-house team that specialises in financial family law. They’ve even been recognised by the Legal 500 – this is what they had to say:

With so much to untangle, having an expert in your corner can be extremely beneficial.

Our team does in-depth analysis to ensure you have everything you need for negotiating your divorce settlement. We’ve helped clients from varying backgrounds, so no matter how complex your circumstances, our lawyers are here to help.

A cohabitation agreement isn’t necessary for couples who live together but aren’t married. However, at the time of writing, unmarried couples do not have the same rights and entitlements as those who are married.

Therefore, some couples find a cohabitation agreement extremely important to ensure they have the rights they need.
