Rachel Roberts

Rachel Roberts is Regional Director for the North, and has been with Stowe for over 17 years.

Known for her caring and compassionate approach, she builds an excellent rapport with clients, leaving them feeling confident and reassured as she guides them to the right outcome for them. Rachel specialises in all aspects of family law but has particular expertise in dealing with divorce finances after a marriage breakdown, as well as dealing with civil partnership disputes and separating cohabiting couples. Sarah Barr Young

Sarah Barr Young is Managing Partner for Ilkley & Leeds.

She has advised and represented clients in the process of divorce, clients who have not been married and those who have entered into civil partnerships. Sarah’s experience includes cases involving substantial income and capital, both in this country and abroad, as well as a variety of financial, business, and trust structures.

Angela Sussens

Angela Sussens is a Partner for our Leeds office.

Angela regularly acts on behalf of high net worth clients in complex cases involving foreign jurisdictions, trust structures, companies and offshore assets. Angela advises on both post-nuptial agreements and pre-nuptial agreements. Cheryl Grace

Cheryl Grace is Senior Solicitor at our Leeds office.

Cheryl advises clients in relation to all aspects of private family law: divorce; finances; planning documents (pre and post nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements); cohabitation; and children.

Cheryl acts for a wide range of clients from homemakers to business people. She particularly enjoys working on financial cases involving trusts and non-marital assets, as well as leave to remove children cases. Cheryl has particular expertise in surrogacy and recently assisted a same sex couple in obtaining a Parental Order for their child born via a US surrogacy arrangement. Shanika Haynes

Shanika Haynes is Team Leader Partner at our Leeds office.

Shanika has advised and represented clients who are in the process of divorce and has also helped those who have not been married. Her experience includes cases involving high income and capital, including assets abroad and business structures. She has a particular interest in domestic abuse cases and child law work, including reaching an agreement in relation to where children will live and how much time they will spend with the non-resident parent. Charlotte Newman

Charlotte Newman is a Partner at our Leeds office.

Charlotte completed her LPC in 2014 and received distinctions in all subjects. In 2013, she graduated from Leeds University with a first class honour degree in law. During her final year of university, she was diagnosed with cancer. Since being in remission, she was appointed as an ambassador for the Teenage Cancer Trust. As the public face of the Trust, she was presented with several great opportunities, one of which was speaking to an audience of over 5000 per night at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Sarah Sowden

Sarah Snowden is Senior Solicitor at our Leeds office.

Sarah has advised and represented clients on children’s matters – both public and private, matters involving domestic abuse and occupation of property, divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, division of the matrimonial finances, division of finances for unmarried partners and financial provision for children. Sarah now specialises in divorce and private children work.

Sarah has experience working on complex children’s matters which often arise as a result of a dispute occurring between parents, which often relate to issues of which parent they live with or the time they spend with the non-resident parent.  Sarah advises clients in relation to all stages of the process including negotiations, mediation and representing them within court proceedings. Hannah Ross

Hannah Ross is a Solicitor at our Leeds office.

Hannah has advised and represented clients in private law children’s law, public law children matters and matters involving domestic abuse. Jo Childs

Jo Childs is a Regional Team Leader at our Leeds office.

In Jo’s role as Regional Team Leader for Yorkshire she looks after a team of 7 legal assistants and 2 post room assistants.  Part of her role is as a Legal Assistant and she currently supports 3 family lawyers providing assistance to ensure that clients’ needs are met. Michelle Richardson

Michelle Richardson is a Legal Assistant at our Leeds office.

Her role involves working closely with the lawyers to provide administrative assistance on all matters. This includes dealing directly with clients, other side solicitors and Courts, ensuring any queries are dealt with in a timely manner and that client’s needs are met at all times. She provides general assistance in relation to all divorce and financial matters including drafting documentation, collating information, keeping files up to date and dealing with general day-to-day requirements and needs of the lawyers.
