Laura Guillon is a solicitor with Stowe Family Law. She joined the firm in 2010, having gained a 2:1 honours degree in Law at the University of Leeds and completed the Legal Practice course at the College of Law in York - gaining a distinction in family law. During her training she was Marilyn Stowe’s Principal Trainee.
Half-French, Laura speaks the language fluently. She is particularly interested in cases that have an international element and often works within the International Family Law Department. Her blog posts about internal and external relocation of children have proved particularly popular.
Laura has a wide range of experience in Financial Remedy cases, having been involved in cases involving complex financial structures, assets abroad and complex trusts. Laura resolves disputes for clients both within the Court arena and through negotiations outside of this forum. She is able to understand a client’s needs swiftly, and help them to navigate the appropriate route for their case.
Laura often deals with matters relating to children including residence, contact, the CSA, maintenance disputes and relocation, both within England and Wales and abroad. She deals with matters in a compassionate and efficient manner.
Laura also advises on cohabitation matters and pre and post nuptial agreements.
