Raj’s career started in a busy practice in West London where for 7 years she practised in all areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation, Inheritance Act disputes and commercial property matters. This blend of knowledge has been invaluable in her career as a Family lawyer, where complex financial structures often require a specialist capable of thinking outside the box, and with the ability to understand interlinking issues in other areas.

Raj moved to the City of London working for a reputable and international Legal 500 firm, focusing primarily on complex family law matters for High Net Worth clients, before taking the leap to play a pivotal role in the launch of a boutique Family Law practice in the heart of the City. Raj joined as Partner at Stowe’s London office in early 2022. She is also Head of Stowe’s Southgate team and our Bromley office.

Raj has been practising Family Law for over 15 years and has been involved in cases with a wide-ranging level of complexity.

She specialises in all areas of Family Law including complex financial matters for High Net Worth and high profile clients. She has experience in dealing with matters where Local Authorities intervene in private proceedings and financial matters involving parties who lack capacity.

Her cases often involve an international element, both in respect of financial and children matters. She has extensive experience in the drafting of nuptial agreements (post and pre-nuptial) particularly those involving cross jurisdictional assets, cohabitation and separation agreements.

Raj is a no nonsense and dynamic lawyer with a real flare for what she does. Her ability to form meaningful professional relationships with her clients is apparent from the very first conversation, where clients often commend her for her empathetic yet professional and firm approach. Her priority is always to seek the best outcome for her clients, be that through alternative dispute resolution, or litigation. Her approach is pragmatic and she cuts out the white noise to ensure the focus remains on the issues most likely to impact upon the outcome of a case.

Raj is conscious of the emotional and financial impact that a relationship breakdown has on all involved, particularly children of the family, so she works tirelessly to keep cases streamlined and on course. She is extremely responsive and will ensure that clients are kept informed at every stage of the case.

Raj holds specialist Resolution accreditation for complex financial and children matters. She is amongst an elite group of lawyers who demonstrate excellence and an outstanding level of skills and expertise in the practice of family law.
