I strive to achieve the best possible outcome for all my clients, whether that is by negotiating an amicable settlement, or robust litigation. I tailor my approach to each individual, allowing the client to be in control of the way that their case is conducted, offering legal expertise that is bespoke and flexible to my client’s needs.

Specialisms

She advises on all areas of family law (divorce/dissolution/annulment, cohabitation, domestic abuse, private children disputes, adoption and surrogacy). She has worked with a broad spectrum of clients, both nationally and internationally.

As a member of Resolution, an organisation of family lawyers committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes; she will always explore all potential options with clients who are facing relationship breakdown and its consequences. In the event litigation is necessary, Sarah Jane works closely with experts in the field to obtain an outcome the client will be happy with.

Training & employment experience

Sarah Jane undertook her studies at the College of Law in London, where she received a commendation. She then began her career in a local firm in Kent, where she was accredited by the Law Society for her work in Family Law. Sarah then expanded her practice area by moving to a Central London Legal 500 firm where she continued to have a large Kent following before moving to Stowe Family Law LLP.

Whilst training Sarah Jane volunteered at the National Centre of Domestic Violence (NCDV) and has therefore undertaken specialist training as well as had vast experience in working with victims of domestic abuse which continues to be a passion for helping those suffering.

Accreditation

Whilst working at Stowe Family Law LLP Sarah Jane has been accredited by The Law Society with an advanced award demonstrating her specialist knowledge in family law with particular expertise in financial remedy (resolving the finances following a divorce) and domestic abuse.

Approach

Her compassionate approach, combined with her expert knowledge gains her client’s confidence quickly. She is a firm believer in negotiating client-focused amicable settlements, where possible, but has a strong and robust approach to court litigation if required.  Sarah Jane cannot promise the journey will be easy, but she will ensure that it is easier with her in your corner.
